Allow us to introduce you to the dynamic duo behind Good Vibez, Coach David and Coach Jess. Our journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 2019, and since then, we've immersed ourselves in the art, honing our skills and deepening our understanding. As dedicated coaches and lifelong learners, we are on an unwavering quest for self-improvement, both on and off the mats. Our commitment extends beyond coaching; it's about fostering a community where individuals thrive, cultivating confidence, and creating an environment where everyone can flourish.

COACH  DAVID

Co-Founder, Jiu-Jitsu Instructor

Meet Coach David,, originally from the Jackson, MI area. He served in the Navy before transitioning to a position as a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It was during this time that David discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Now having received his brown belt combined with over a decade of martial arts experience, he has returned to Michigan to share his passion with the Coldwater community at Good Vibez.. Coach David is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where members of all ages and skill levels can thrive in their martial arts journey.

COACH JESS

Co-Founder, Jiu-Jitsu Instructor

Coach Jess, a dedicated and passionate instructor, brings a wealth of experience to Good Vibez. With 8+ years of working with children and 6 years of martial arts coaching, Jess's approach to teaching combines her deep understanding of child development with her love for martial arts. Her gentle yet effective guidance ensures that each child in our programs receives quality instruction while having a blast. Jess believes in nurturing not only physical skills but also character development, making her a cornerstone of our commitment to providing holistic, engaging classes for all ages.

COACH  MIKE

Thai Boxing Instructor

Mike developed a love for competition at a young age. He trained MMA, and fought out of Michigan Sports Camp. Mike trained under the guidance of Dan “The Beast” Severn for approximately 4 years, he assisted in training some of the classes offered there as well. Mike continues his training here at Good Vibez, and has earned his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has been a part of our team since late 2022, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge to help our team grow.
